We have nabbed ourselves a copy of 0RBITALIS* early access on Steam. We have spent the past two days playing this space-based simulation physics puzzler and defying gravity with just one hit!

Firstly we'd like to give you a brief explanation of how the game was developed:
From Develop’s ‘30 under 30’ 2013 indie developer Alan Zucconi, 0RBITALIS is a simulation game created at the Ludum Dare 28 gamejam, where participants had 48 hours to develop a game based on a theme suggested by the community. The theme ‘You Only Get One’ inspired Alan to blend his passion for physics with gaming, accentuated by his trademark charming aesthetic.

The aim of this game is to control the direction and trajectory of the satellite to orbit various objects under a time limit. The catch is you only get one chance to direct your satellite in motion before the force of gravity takes over, you have to use the right blend of gravity and timing to succeed in each level.

The game provides over 50 different missions, you're not scored based on how long you last while your satellite is in orbit it is based on how complex your skills are. This game is very simple but very addictive, once you have started with the first level you find yourself getting hooked and competitive instantly - it is the perfect blend of simplicity and that 'one more turn' gaming syndrome we all have.

One thing which took out for me was the visuals of the game, although it's very minimalistic to look at the style is very pretty especially the clash of colours - red, white and black work together well. The game runs really smoothly too, especially when watching your satellite orbit space.

One more point I loved about this game is that it was creepily silent - which really does give you the element of being in space. Besides the sounds of your satellite taking of (and crashing...somtimes...).

I have definitely enjoyed playing this on my bank holiday weekend, and I hope you guys pick it up at some point - it's super cheap and you can get Steam early access now too.
