So Disney have recently announced Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel Superheroes, and although it was pretty obvious from the teasers it still had us pretty excited and hyped up for the next instalment.

What I want to share with you all is the main aspects of the live event that myself as a fan found interesting. Firstly is that they're bringing 2.0 to PS4 and Xbox One (as well as previous generations) - this was a great movie I would love to be able to play mine on one of my next gen consoles, also judging by their reworking of the various universes it'll look brilliant on either one of the consoles.

I was instantly worried I'd need to buy a new starter pack, with a new character base and I'd lose all my save data from various toy boxes...well the good news is you can re-use all your old save data, figures AND base. So basically all you'll need is to buy the disc for the 2.0 game. Excellent money saving news!

The characters that have been confirmed so far are Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Nighthawk and Black Widow. However from watching the trailer it appears that Loki, MODOK, Groot and Rocket Raccoon which means a Guardians of the Galaxy cross-over at some point..?! You can also call in trophy characters to come in and help you in battle, such as Iron Patriot.

They showed off Iron Mans flying ability, and they explained that in order for the characters to be able to grow they needed to expand the worlds within Disney Infinity and have upped the level cap to 20. As stated earlier they have made impressive amendments to the visuals in this game and it doesn't look as 'blocky' as the current game.

Toy Box mode has also been updated due to requests from fans - you can now decorate the interiors of buildings in Toy Box mode and hundreds of new items have been added. They have also added two game modes within the Toy Box, one is a dungeon crawler (which looks AMAZING) and it consists of randomly generated worlds each time you play. And a tower defence game which doesn't really tickle my fancy as much, but looks impressive! Both of these modes are definitely much needed for the older players of game as I found the Toy Box a little frustrating after a while.

Personally I love the announcement and I am hoping that they will now reveal some Disney classic characters to becoming playable in 2.0.

What do you all think of this new announcement?
