So I've been getting lots of people asking me on Twitter, what were my favourite game and films are of 2014, so I thought I would make a small post with my top 3! Enjoy.
GAMING:
|
Dangan Ronpa 2 |
I only played the first one earlier this year and I absolutely fell in love, luckily a friend at work lent me this one straight away and within minutes I was in love again. So much better than the first one (which I didn't think was possible).
|
Theatrhythm Curtain Calls |
This was a sequel to Theatrhythm which was released last year but with much more Final Fantasy content. I surprisingly love rhythm games and that mixed with my love of the FF soundtracks made this game endless fun. Over 100+ hours so far...
|
Child of Light |
A little indie title now which I reviewed earlier this year. May have only been 10 hours long, but some of the best 10 hours I've spent gaming in a long long time. Such a beautiful little turn-based game.
These are just three of my most played games this year, however others would be Transistor, Steamdworld Dig, Persona Q, Never Alone, Mario Kart 8, Borderlands Pre-Sequel, Diablo 3, Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, Fantasy Life and Shadows of Mordor.
FILMS:
|
Grand Budapest Hotel |
This is kind of a no-brainer, since this came out in the cinema and blu-ray I've watched it about 10 times, I am in love with the story.
|
Ocho Apellidos Vascos |
This film was a Spanish local title which I managed to watch through work and it was one of the most successful films of all time over there. It is adorable with such a heartwarming storyline and incredible humour!
|
How To Train Your Dragon 2 |
I can't even put into words how much I loved this film. I cried like a baby in the cinema when watching this on my own with some chicken nuggets. I was judged like crazy...
Other films I adored this year was Raid 2, Wolf of Wall Street, 12 Years A Slave, Boyhood, and Guardians of the Galaxy.
Let me know what your favourite games and films were of 2014 in the comments!
