Funk music is the music of God's and Zeus has sent down his son to bring back some funk into the life of humans.

Some Pagan Titans down on earth are trying to gain more power than Zeus and are 'creating' beats of their own. So your job is to go down to earth and destroy these bad guys.

Perseus travels through 3 regions and over 40 levels to restore the funk to destroy Pop, Rock and Rap.

The game itself is a single-player platformer and performs pretty smoothly on the Xbox One. I had no issues playing through the game - completed it in a few hours if I'm honest so it's a tad short, however what do you expect for a game that's only £8.99?!
I had a lot of fun and found the in-game music to be really catchy - I was humming it at work the next day.

You play through levels doing various jump puzzles and destroying the Pagan Titans, at first it seems like a rhythm game but it's not actually done to the beat of the music so you can play it with the sound down or to other music if you're not keen.

I found the in-game levelling up system and mini-missions was a nice touch, very similar to games like Jetpack Joyride. You gain discs in which you can buy upgrades after each level also, which add more power to your weapon. So try to get 100% discs per level (I actually found this pretty hard and spent alot of time going back to various levels throughout).

I also want to add that the game itself is super colourful and pretty and each level has it's own level of prettiness. Look out for the levels which are mainly silhouetted because of the sunset, these were my favourite.

If you want to pick up this indie title from developer Crowd of Monsters you can pick it up here. *
